Sooo cute. Only problem…is that everything is “coming soon”. Annoying!
midi
The new length…once thought of as highly undesirable and “un-cool”, this length - if worn high-waisted - gives a feminine touch to an outfit. It cinches you in at the waist, and creates the illusion of long slim-line legs. It also means that you can wear this length at any time of year.
First shown on the AW10 catwalks of Louis Vuitton and Prada (see below), the midi length has...

Gucci
The A/W’11 collection comprised of bold electric colours mixed with greys and blacks. Either colour was worn completely in flowing maxi dresses, or it was in the accessories worn with sharp grey suits. The black at the end of the show with sections of vibrant pinks and yellows completed the collection beautifully. Colour is definitely still on the minds for Autumn.

all things romantic..
I love watching the Valentino show, because you know that the designs are going to be hopelessly romantic and elegant. The clothes were extremely intricate, great care and thought has gone into designing and making this collection. I also really like the burgundy that is featured in a lot of the collection. Warming for Autumn.
It’s love.

the big shoulder debate
Louis Vuitton: A/W’11.
Probably one of the most talked about shows this season, with Kate Moss smoking as she walked the runway. Marc Jacobs was all for freedom with this collection, showing huge shoulders on some of the models and bare legs mixed with midi lengths. The aim here was to show choice, and it worked. Whether you’ll have us wearing the huge shoulders I’m not too sure...
a touch of teal...
Chloe A/W’11 collection, although a definite mixture of textiles and colour, this really stood out. This colour is so feminine and can be worn with most skintones.
All models wore minimal natural-looking make up and the hair looked effortless in a centre-parting. Watch for this colour in the early Autumn.

masculine or feminine?
Dolce & Gabbana’s A/W’11 collection - a complete mix of masculine and feminine features. With the feminine looks came star prints, animal prints, lace…whilst all wearing masculine brogues in numerous colours. (Check out the glitter pair below!)

Check out the rainbow colours on her nails. Head to Barry M for cheap but not too bad nail polish…only £2.99 for some great brights and pastels.

Chloe's Simplicity
I really want to get back into ballet, and nothing made me want to more than the S/S’11 Chloe collection, with the sheer and nude fabrics with the ballet pumps. I want it all, and I really hope one of the high streets pick up this trend.
D&G
Everyone talked about the Dolce and Gabbana show for S/S’11, the white…the black….the sexiness. But, although I absolutely loved that show and the sheer volume of lace on the catwalk, I also really loved the D&G collection. Playful, and in complete contrast to its more mature sister collection, I really thought their take on Spring/Summer was fantastic. Some of my favourite...

Love the oxford blue shirt underneath all that leather!
a Gucci shoutout
Gucci brought colour to Spring. The gold bands mixed with the vibrant purples etc showed a revival of the seventies, but with modern spin. I love the slash of skin shown in photo 4. And have you noticed the red lips trend emerging? Tom Ford lipsticks look hot.
the colour blue
As I said before in my post about Reiss’ take on the blue trend of S/S’11..here is some of the runway shots that started it:
1. Matthew Williamson 2. Jason Wu 3. Mulberry 4. Jaeger 5. Isabel Marant 6. Celine 7. Prada
It is a truth universally acknowledged, that a single man in possession of a...

BLEACH
To bleach or not to bleach…that is the question. If you’re brunette…it looks amazing to add some dip dye, but if you’re blonde? Much more difficult. I’m thinking if I do…i’ll go with violet. That way, it washes out quickly. But to follow the crowd and kill my hair? Or ignore the brief phase and power through in order to grow my luscious locks.

a kind of blue...
I recently found Reiss’ 1971 S/S collection, and I’m not usually a huge fan of Reiss if I am honest. However, this time I mistaken. Since seeing the deep blue appearing on the catwalks in September, I knew someone on the high street would have a go at replicating it. And here is Reiss’ effort:
The jumpsuit is made out of silk, and although probably a bitch to...
